Summer is losing its grip after a hotter than usual July and August, and hubby and I have spent the past couple of days tending to our much neglected landscaping. Our backfence neighbors have taken down a walnut tree that was growing into our fence which has inspired us to pressure wash the fence and do some pruning and garden cleanup.

Now if only I could get Blogger to cooperate and put the pictures and text where I want them, I would be a very happy camper!
Whatever makes you think Blogger would desire to cooperate with a mere mortal. You'll have to be angelic and then some (whose the angel --michael? -- with all the power? -- that's who you have to become.).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, your fence and garden look very good. But the tree wasn't really leaning on the fence -- yet. The one we took down this summer had basically pushed our fence over. We had it propped back up with some two-by-fours, but it wasn't going to stay there long.
I like the pleasant (banboo?) additions to the top of the fence, too; your gardens are tidy and handsome. By this time of the year, most of Portland has given up on tidy gardens and everything is a bit tattered and tired. Maybe I should go out and prune a bit. Maybe....
